Kirk Hopkins
2016 Girls Green I
Kirk is a dedicated coach whose journey in soccer began at the age of five in Spring, Texas. His passion for the sport led him to play at the collegiate level, where he was a four-year starter for NCAA Division II programs. This experience instilled in him the values of teamwork, discipline, and leadership, which he now passes on to his players.

Transitioning from player to coach, Kirk started mentoring youth while still active in club and college soccer. This early involvement was pivotal in shaping his understanding of the importance of nurturing young talent and creating a positive, encouraging environment. Throughout his coaching career, he has had the joy of coaching all three of his children at the recreational level, reinforcing his belief in patience, communication, and the need for a fun atmosphere in youth sports.

Kirk sees his role as not just a coach but also a mentor and role model. He believes that a coach's influence extends beyond the field, shaping the character and values of young athletes. His goal is to inspire players to excel in soccer while developing into confident, respectful, and resilient individuals.

As a devoted supporter of Manchester United, Kirk cherishes the club's glory days and aims to instill a lifelong passion for soccer in his players. He encourages them to watch, play, and enjoy the game beyond organized practices, believing that this enthusiasm will bring out the best in them as they grow to love the beautiful game.
